ANNE TARDOS is a poet, performer, visual artist, and composer. She frequently writes multilingual poems and combines them with digitally modified video images. She is the author of the books Cat Licked the Garlic (Tsunami Editions 1992), Mayg-shem Fish (Potes & Poets 1995), and Uxudo (O Books/Tuumba Press 1999). She adapted her performance piece "Among Men" for radio and produced it at the WDR (Westdeutscher Rundfunk in Cologne). Her poetry and visual works have appeared in numerous magazines in Europe, Japan, and the U.S. Her recorded work appears on: "A Chance Operation: Tribute to John Cage," "The Museum Inside the Telephone Network" and elsewhere. Her visual works have been exhibited at the Venice Biennale, the Museum of Modern Art, the Jack Tilton Gallery and the Whitney Museum of American Art among other venues.
