LENORE MALEN is an artist and writer. During the 1990s she was an executive editor of Art Journal, published by the College Art Association. She currently teaches cultural studies in the MFA Painting and Sculpture Program at Parsons School of Design, a division of the New School University in New York. "The New Society for Universal Harmony" on the web was originally commissioned as a photo and text work for 9/9 revue d'art practique, Paris in 2000. It has also been seen on the web on Jochan Gerz' anthology-of-art and at the Centre Pompidou.

The photographic prints have been installed at Klenova gallery (Czech republic) at Trynarstarka Tower (Poland) and Castle Gallery (NY). Upcoming Exhibitions: In 2004 the exhibition of the New Society will be shown in Berlin and Valencia, Spain. It was on view as a multi-media installation at the Slought Foundation in Philadelphia from February 28 - April 15, 2004.
