Perfect bound in wrappers. One of Mayer's most recognizable titles, later republished by New Directions Press in 1999. This from the first edition and warmly inscribed to poet and publisher Ed Foster of Talisman House, along with Elaine Foster.

Very good plus, with some wear along the spine and covers and a slight tear at bottom of spine near the front cover. There is a shallow bend to the bottom right of the covers and text block. A nice association, and a scarce title.
