Saddle stitched wrappers. 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 in. This book accompanied an exhibition at The Focus Gallery, Feb. 4–Mar. 1, 1975 in San Francisco, organized by Mark Green who contributes an introduction as well as photographs. The cover photograph is by Gui de Angulo; left to right: Michael McClure, Philip Lamantia, John Wieners, and David Meltzer, c. 1957. There were more than 20 photographers in the show including Wallace Berman, Jerry Burchard, J. De Feo, Wally Hedrick, Larry Jordan, and Patricia Jordan. This copy is inscribed and signed by Mark Green to Joanne Kyger “who I did not know well then, but whom at this moment in time, appears to be one of maybe 2, high Priestesses of that scene.” So true. A bit of rust to the staples, wear to the spine, and a bend to upper left corner of back wrapper. Very good plus.
