Bronze fiberglass oar, 15 x 1 in. (at its widest point) with the inscription "Ulysses Was Here." The Serpentine Gallery catalog of Finlay's works indicates an edition of 15; however we have it from a reliable source who was told by Finlay that this is from an edition of seven copies.
