This book documents Peace Eye from its inception through Sanders' Egyptian studies, through Fuck You magazine and press, the various iterations of the Peace Eye Bookstore, Sanders' time on trial for obscenity, and other contemporaneous events.

The opening glyph reads:

"The story of Peace Eye
began in an urban commune
one night in the fall of 1961
I wa reading John Cage's 
book Silence
and taking a course
     in ancient Egyptian
Peace Eye began that evening
as I wrote a poem
about seeing my mother
in an Egyptian Boat in the sky
     the night she passed away

& the Peace Eye story
continued through the years"

Includes an illustrated history of Fuck You/ A Magazine of the Arts and Fuck You/ Press publications, recounts of police raids on Sanders' Secret Location for printing and the Peace Eye Bookstore, the Banana anthology, as well as extensive recollections of Sanders' obscenity trial. With many images from Sanders' archive, and great detail devoted to these influential Peace Eye projects.
