Country Rush. Maureen Owen. Adventures in Poetry. 1973.

Country Rush.

Adventures in Poetry, 1973. Item #3227

Side-stapled mimeograph, 26 pp., with four internal drawings and cover by Yvonne Jacquette. The poet's first book.

At the time, Owen was also editing Telephone magazine, printed The Poetry Project at St. Mark's Church's mimeograph machine, the same machine as Larry Fagin's Adventures in Poetry imprint. Telephone is considered one of the foremost mimeograph magazines of the era, for its inclusiveness and scope.

The artistic collaboration is notable; Owen would once again collaborate with Jacquette on the book Erosion's Pull, published in 2004 by Granary Books and later Coffee House Press.

This is from the limited edition, which includes 26 copies lettered and signed. This is letter "U," signed by both poet and artist. Fine.
