Inscribed and dated June 27, 1977, “for my typist, Alice, love Ted.” With a note on a scrap of paper at p. 9 in the hand of Anselm Hollo “Max Brand: ‘twenty notches’ acc. to Larry F., the text used for ‘clear the range.’” A good plus copy that shows signs of having been read at spine, with soiling and shelf wear on front cover and bottom edge.
