Granary Books, 2000. Item #GB_73

“The Beatles was done in Marblehead, Massachusetts...I had published two books of minimal poems with Random House, Aram Saroyan (1968) and Pages (1969), books which I’d designed and in which only right-hand pages were utilized. My idea had been to give an uncluttered prospect to each poem...After looking at the published books for a while, it dawned on me that something else was taking place.”
This minimal work was first published by Aram Saroyan in 1970. Our edition was split with the poet and mailed out as a New Year’s Greeting for Jan. 1, 2000.
Printed by hand at Soho Letterpress and hand-sewn by Amber Phillips. This is from an edition of 400 copies, of which 350 are hors commerce and 50 are for sale. Out-of-print. As new.
