Frontispiece photograph of the author as “der junge Luis,” by Lorenz Gude. First edition. This work was later published in English by Full Court Press; this copy is inscribed, in German, to Ron Padgett, close friend to the writer and one the editors at Full Court. Padgett and Veitch later collaborated on the novel, Antlers in the Treetops (Coach House, 1973). As new.
