All items are subject to prior sale. Institutions may be invoiced according to their requirements. We accept payment through the site via credit card, check, and money order. Items ship upon receipt of payment.
Residents of the state of New York are subject to state sales tax.
Returns for any reason accepted within 14 days upon notification to bookseller. Refunds will be credited upon receipt of item in its original condition. Unless item is not as described by seller, buyer provides return postage.
Descriptions and Grading
We make every effort to describe items as if we were the buyer and follow the general guidelines accepted within the antiquarian book trade. If you have questions about a description or need more details about an item (including additional photographs), please feel free to inquire.
Shipping Charges
Orders are shipped Monday through Friday within one to three days of when the order is placed, with the exceptions of United States holidays, in the order they are received.
Our default domestic shipping is via USPS. We offer three options: Media Mail, at no cost to the buyer (this option is only available for books); USPS Priority Mail ($11.50 per order), or Broadside Shipping ($13 per order). Other methods of domestic shipping, including different carriers or rush orders, are available at the seller’s discretion and at cost to the buyer—please contact us for options, especially if you have a specific deadline by which you would like to receive an item.
If your order is heavy, oversize, or requires insurance, we may request additional postage at cost.
International shipping is calculated at cost to the buyer (default First Class USPS, when possible), and an invoice payable by credit card is sent to the buyer via Square. Items ship upon receipt of payment. Please note that as of July 1, 2026 we are temporarily unable to ship items valued at €150 or less to the EU. Any applicable order placed will be canceled and refunded at not cost to the buyer. We apologize for the inconvenience.
