The English Intelligencer, vol. 2, no. 2. May 1967. [The Spoof Issue].
Item #1415
Corner stapled. 8 x 13 in., 7 leaves printed rectos only. The infamous spoof issue written, produced, and mailed to T.E.I. mailing list by Hollo and Raworth. “Contributors” include John Temple, John James, Tim Longville, Barry McSweeney, J.H. Prynne, R. Kipling, Peter Riley, Erwin Klopstock, Chaucer, and Jim Burns. A note on the last page reads (as if from Peter Riley), “It has been brought to my notice that a forged copy if (sic) the English Intelligencer Issue 2 No. 2 is in circulation; readers are advised to beware.” A bit of rust to staple and toning to fold, very good plus. Quite scarce.
