Full-color digital print, 12 7/8 x 9 1/2 in. This is no. 2 from an edition of 35 copies numbered and signed by Tom Phillips. The title on the print reads: "Coming shortly to your screens; A TV DANTE: THE INFERNO: Directed by Tom Phillips & Peter Greenaway (CH. 4)." This print is a still from the mini-series created by Phillips and Greenaway for the UK's Channel 4 television in 1990. Based upon Phillips's translation of the Inferno, and with John Gielgud in a leading role, A TV DANTE made the most of the new electronic technologies to create a Prix Italia winning video of the first eight cantos. The print is archivally taped at the top to a piece of Bainbridge board (15 x 12 1/2). Fine.
