Beautifully inscribed by the poet to David [Bromige] and Sherril [Jaffe] "friends and lovers, who else, who / have so accompanied my minds / delite and release / from constrictions these études / and I hope more / celebrate at my reading at Jack's / in Berkeley Nov. 1, 1974 / Robert." David Bromige and Robert Duncan met at the Vancouver Poetry Conferenece in 1963 and the two became close friends when Bromige moved to Berkeley a few years later. Light shelf wear, near fine.
