Item #2724

68 pp., side-stapled magazine, printed in full color at The Source Unltd, New York City. The final issue of Fuck You/ A Magazine of the Arts, in process since 1965 and published in 2021. Contributors include Charles Olson, d.a. levy, Szabo, Michael McClure, Harry Fainlight, Robert Anton Wilson, and Sanders.

The title page reads:

"Sorry for the delay. While we were gathering manuscripts for this issue in late 1965–early '66 the police raided the Peace Eye Bookstore and I was arrested for obscenity. My case was taken on by the American Civil Liberties Union, who advised me to halt publications until after the trial was concluded. I complied. I was found not guilty at the trial 17 months after my arrest, after a string of court hearings, but by then I was very busy with the Summer of Love, and other projects, and set aside Number 5, Volume 10. There were over thirty stencils already cut containing poems by d.a. levy, Michael McClure, Robert Anton Wilson, Ted Berrigan, Szabo, and others, plus I had received some poems and manifestoes from Charles Olson.

These files lay in my archive, for decade 'pon decade, till now, when the moment seemed proper to publish this final issue of Fuck You/ A Magazine of the Arts.

Ed Sanders, Secret Location, Woodstock, NY."

This issue of the magazine has been typeset on a computer, and also includes images of the prepared mimeograph stencils or holograph submissions.

This is from an edition of 100 copies, of which 40 are numbered and signed by the editor with a unique glyph artwork on back cover. This is from the regular edition.
