Illustrated poetry broadside, 19 x 13 in. Imogene Knode was the name of a woman who was murdered by her husband in 1977, after having written an editorial to the local paper asking for help. The poem ends with the lines:
"I was a woman, gentle, and I did not live.
I call this poem to be a weapon.
I give this poem authority to kill."
