Japanese-style stab binding in wrappers with handmade label on front cover, 9 3/4 x 8 1/4 in., 62 pp. Poems by Scott Ezell with images by Andrew Long. The poems were typed on an Olivetti manual typewriter in San Diego in the spring of 2020; the images were made in response to the poems during the following year on the road in Turkey and in Kiev, Ukraine.
Shell Games & Ponzi Schemes was produced between June 2021 and April 2022 in Chiapas, Mexico, with an all-manual process including silkscreen printing, hand-coloring, and Japanese-style hand-sewn stab binding. "This is a paradoxical work that spans fine art and outsider art. It is a subversive expression against paradigms of violence, by turns whimsical and obscene, angry and irreverent, refined and brutalist." (Poet and artist's statement.) This is from an edition of 50 numbered and signed by poet and artist. Fine.
