Hetty MacLise is known for her contributions to The Oracle, experimental music in the 1960s (with Angus MacLise), and her illustrations for Bardo Matrix Press in the 1970s in Kathmandu. This is one of her latest known works, featuring a portrait of a blue dog and a man playing guitar on the front, and a poem that begins "For Dubee" on the back, and is dated and signed by MacLise. The painting is meant to be mounted using a wooden dowel at the top and bottom of the piece.

Some wear and toning to the fabric; paint is intact and in overall good condition. The thangka has been folded for storage.
