Laid in is a magazine clipping of an Alex Katz painting, with notecard in Berkson's hand, labeling all the individuals in said painting, including Frank Lima, Yvonne Jacquette, Joe Fiore, Donald Droll, Bill Berkson, Betty Spiegal, Rudy Burckhardt, Edwin Denby, and others, along with an autograph postcard from Berkson to Kyger quoting Helen Waddell.
This is from an edition of 1800 copies paperback and 200 copies hardback, of which 26 are lettered A–Z and signed. This is from the paperback edition.
Book is very good, with some chips to front cover and some shelf wear and foxing to corners or edges of the text block. Within, the postcard is fine; Berkson’s autograph identification notecard is very good, with some foxing to the recto and an instance of dirt adhering to the verso. A copy with rich association.
