Oklahoma Tough: My Father, King of the Tulsa Bootleggers.
University of Oklahoma Press, 2003. Item #4141
Quarter bound in cloth and paper over boards in a printed dust jacket. A memoir and biography by the poet Ron Padgett of his father, Wayne Padgett, who ran a successful bootlegging operation as part of the Dixie Mafia in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This copy is warmly inscribed by Padgett to the poet Kenward Elmslie on the title page: "For the real tough guy whose laser reading of the manuscript sobered me up for the long haul! Thank you Kenward."
Very good plus with a minor bump top the top of the spine and a minor stain on the edge of the text block, in a very good jacket with the inside flap of the front cover curling, likely from humidity. An important association copy.
Price: $75.00
