Locus Solus, no. 2. Summer 1961.
Item #4180
Smyth-sewn. The second issue of Ashbery, Koch, Mathews, and Schuyler's essential little magazine, published out of Lans-en-Vercors, France, across five issues between 1961 and 1962. The editors alternated responsibility across issues, with this "special issue of collaborations" edited by Koch. This is from the limited edition of 50 copies; there was also a regular edition. This copy is from the library of the poet Ron Padgett, with his neat pencil signature on the title page. Pages are uncut.
Contributors include: Aeschylus, Pedro de Aragon, John Ashbery, Basho, Michael Benedikt, Bill Berkson, Paul Blackburn, André Breton, William Burroughs, Joseph Ceravolo, Thomas Chatterton, S.T.
