Unbound, mimeograph. Cover by Jeanne Marlowe. The 30th issue of di Prima and Amiri Baraka's influential little magazine and newsletter, published after Baraka's departure as an editor following issue no. 25. This issue is from the collection of the bookseller and publisher Laurence McGilvery, who published the facsimile edition of The Floating Bear in 1973. To create this facsimile, McGilvery removed the staples on the issues used, and though this issue has had the staples removed, it does not appear to be the issue used in the published facsimile edition.
Contributors include: Ruth Krauss, Alan Marlow [sic], an unknown contributor ("possibly Peter Abelard"), Diane di Prima, Ferencz McNaughton, Carl Solomon, anonymous ("as told to Hubert Selby, Jr."), Herbert Huncke, Gilbert Sorrentino, Allan Kaprow, James Waring, Alex Katz, Howard Schulman, and Anne Wilson.
Near fine, excepting the removed staples and mild toning.
