Red adhesive-binding with unmarked, blue paper wrappers, 578 pp. Untrimmed publisher's proof copy of the facsimile edition of The Floating Bear, retained by Laurence McGilvery from production of the facsimile edition. Contains untrimmed, collated facsimile of nos. 1–37, with the expected introduction by di Prima, notes, and index, making this a complete proof of the regular edition of the facsimile. Intrepid, no. 20/The Floating Bear, no. 38 is excluded from this proof copy as it was not included in the regular edition. A special, limited edition was also issued, containing no. 38 and with the original cover bound in. 

Very good, with light foxing on some pages. The adhesive binding has come apart at three points, leaving the copy complete though in three distinct groupings.
