Cover printed offset on green cardstock for Intrepid, no. 20/The Floating Bear, no. 38. Artwork by Brion Gysin. This cover was obtained by the bookseller and publisher Laurence McGilvery during his publication of The Floating Bear facsimile edition (1973) with the intention of binding the cover into the special edition of the facsimile, which was to be sold to library and institutional buyers and contain no. 38 (the regular edition contained only nos. 1–37).
Overall, very good plus, with light toning around the edges and light rust stains near the left edge. Cover has staple marks along the left side, suggesting it was once bound.
