This is from an edition of 1,800 copies paperback and 200 copies hardback, of which 26 hardback copies are lettered A–Z and signed. This copy is from the regular hardback edition and is inscribed to the poet Larry Fagin in 1976: "For Larry 'the use of the thumb' (p. 80) love, Bill."
Book is very good, with bumps to the top right-hand corners of the covers and a slight bend to the text block in the same area. Dust jacket good, with wrinkling and chipping, especially at corners, and a pencil mark on the back cover.
