Exhibition catalog published by artist and curator Faith Ringgold in conjunction with her 1982 exhibition at MoMA P.S. 1, The Wild Art Show, held January 17–March 14. Though the exact date of publication is unstated, it contains Ringgold's reflections on the opening night, suggesting it must have been published after opening and during the exhibition's run. In the catalog, Ringgold writes that "Wild art is self contained rage...There are two forms of Wild art: the pure form and the mixed. The pure form is rage about something that has happened to us personally; it is autobiographical...The mixed form is rage about other people, places or things."
Per the call for proposals, pieces submitted must have been created "especially for the show." Ringgold further states that "it should be no larger than the dimensions of a human form, self contained in a box (in a box, a book, etc.), a new development outside the artists [sic] usual work, sometimes intensely personal, secret, felt, Wild."

Very good plus, with a shallow bend to the bottom right-hand corner of the front cover, and two minor 1/4 in. black stains to the bottom edge of the text block, with pages unaffected.
