Uncorrected publisher's proof in paper wrappers. A proof of Clark's 1978 unconventional biography of the writer and journalist Damon Runyon whose distinctive language became synonymous with post-Prohibition writing in New York. Both the wrappers and the proof itself are Xerox, and there are holograph corrections and annotations present in the Xerox throughout, along with minor instances of autograph correction in pencil. 

This copy is from the library of the poet Dick Gallup and has been inscribed by Clark on the title page in February 1979, a full year after the first edition of the work was published.

Good, with wrappers showing significant toning, scuffing, smudging, and minor chipping.
