Jed Rasula Archive

The archive comprises the complete papers of poet and scholar Jed Rasula, with correspondence, drafts of poetry and scholarly manuscripts by Rasula and others, editorial materials for anthologies, Rasula's work on little magazines Wch Way and Sulfur, teaching materials, drafts of talks, interviews, and other professional files. Rasula’s correspondents and collaborators span the various avant-garde movements of postwar American poetry, including participants in major movements such as Black Mountain, New York School’s second and third generations, L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poetry, and New American poetry more broadly. The archive also represents smaller, more regional poetry movements from the 1970s onward, including Beyond Baroque and Los Angeles communities, Hudson Valley School, Boston Occult School, and others. Research themes within the archive include postwar American small press poetry, anthologies, and little magazines; jazz studies, literary and cultural studies (avant-garde, Dada, literary history).
