The complete literary archive of the poet Gary Lenhart (1947–2021), who was active from the late 1970s onward as a poet (inspired by the successive generations of New York School poetics), editor (of Mag City with Greg Masters and Michael Scholnick, as well as Transfer magazine as sole editor), and teacher/administrator (with The Poetry Project, Teachers & Writers Collaborative, and various colleges from New York to Vermont).
The archive contains correspondence, drafts of poetry and prose works, the complete editorial files of Transfer magazine (with related correspondence and drafts of work by others), collaborative works with poets including Jeff Wright and Jim Brodey, administrative files related to numerous reading series that he organized, and teaching files.
