This collection comprises the complete archive of Lois Elaine Griffith, a poet, visual artist, and founding member of the Nuyorican Poets Café. As a producer and working board member at the Café for several decades, Griffith has been active in New York City’s worlds of Puerto Rican, Afro-Caribbean, and diasporic performance and poetry since the 1970s.
